To Be
The only thing I want in this world is to be. To look out across the landscape and feel at once different and connected to a place I can assuredly call home, to be myself and no one else and to find peace with that. To look in the same mirror I do today and see not the me I present myself as but the me I am, to be myself without caring if the world stops to stare at the odd girl who finds herself most at peace sitting close to the stars and away from the world, with the wind in her hair and thoughts far behind.
All I want in this world is to be and finally find someone who understands me. Who'll join me on my rooftop and stare at the stars and watch as the city begins to sleep. Not a word has to be shared but understanding communicated in lover's eyes. Someone who will sit with me until the world begins to fade, neither of us caring as long as we can sit atop our rooftop with one another.
All I want in this world is to be and see all that there is in he that will share my rooftop with me. As the city sleeps and world grows dark, as time stretches, and worlds end all I will want in this world is to be and finally be at peace with all I see.

Just a little blank verse poem. Been feeling a little lonely lately and when I'm thinking I like to get as close to the stars as I can and just sit there. It's really nice, no matter where you are you can just relax. It's the closest thing I can think of to heaven. I can only imagine the breathtaking view of a city at night from a rooftop. If I ever move to the city that's the first place I'm going. I hope you like this. More for me than anything but I still hope you enjoyed it.
